The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics is a leading international organization comprised of professionals and students whose primary interest is in mathematics and computational science and their applications. SIAM's mission is to build cooperation between the worlds of science and technology through its conferences, books, journals, proceedings, online resources, and a variety of programs and initiatives.
SIAM conferences focus on timely topics in applied and computational mathematics and applications, and provide a place for members to exchange ideas and expand their network of colleagues in both academe and industry.
This symposium focuses on research topics related to efficient algorithms and data structures for discrete problems. In addition to the design of such methods and structures, the scope also includes their use, performance analysis, and the mathematical problems related to their development or limitations. SODA is jointly sponsored by the ACM Special Interest Group on Algorithms and Computation Theory and the SIAM Activity Group on Discrete Mathematics.
